Fall signals two things for me – Alabama football, of course – and the Annual Furniture Market.
Here are some of the trends I spotted this fall that you’ll want in your home for the holidays!
“Greenery,” Pantone’s color of the year was everywhere, and it’s the foundation of the Tropical Influence, also known as the Jungalow look.
Wallpaper is back and a super way to incorporate the Jungalow look.
Geometric Patterns, circles, squares, stark, linear looks are in the forefront. This is a clean, sophisticated look.
Velvet invites you to touch, and it looks as good as it feels! Velvet upholstery, velvet table runners, quilted velvet bedspreads and velvet upholstered headboards were a highlight at High Point. Velvet is both modern and traditional. Velvet is the perfect fabric for another trend of Jewel Tones.

Statement Ceilings, a new focus on the fifth wall, can be architecturally achieved, as shown here, or by painting the ceiling to contrast or subtly enhance the shade on the walls.
Yessick’s Interior Designer Sherlene Kirk had ship lap applied to the ceiling and the accent wall in the Dining Room.
Brass is back. After so many years of stainless and silver, brass is back. This time it’s less Colonial and more contemporary and reflects the rose gold fashion trend. I saw a lot of this brass paired with marble in the accessory lines including the below drinking table from Interlude. The look is equal parts warmth and elegance!
I hope these trends inspire you! Call or drop by any Yessick’s location. One of our designers can help you make your home merry and bright for the holidays!
